Scripture for the day: Daniel 6:10-11


Now when Daniel learned that the decree has been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened towards Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before. Then these men went as a group and found Daniel praying and asking God for help.


Thoughts to consider:

  1. Is our sabbath merely a brief break from our weekly responsibilities or are we really taking the time to stop, rest and delight in the presence of God?

    1. How are some ways we can refuel?

  2. We must discipline ourselves to enter the Office of prayer and scripture.
